Who We Are – thoughts from a new member

A Year in the Life of a NSJWC Member

When a friend asked me to join NSJWC she said “come… we have a little meeting and then we go out for cocktails”.  I thought Great! I love cocktails, and I would love to meet some new friends.  Well….

A year in the life of a NSJWC

 Casual meetings…….Monthly meetings……..Board meetings…….New Member meetings……..Committee meetings

We collect things for others….food……toiletries for homeless men…..our troops ( candy and trees)….pet supplies (for the Humane society)……we even collected prom dresses!

We have FUN…..Fall Gourmet…..Halloween Costume Party……Great Hunts(ok, it was a fundraiser, but we had LOTS of  fun)……Girls Night……Craft projects…….Holiday party……Secret Snowflakes……Tea Party…….Spring Gourmet……Mini Fundraisers……Major Fundraisers…..Win, Place, Show   AND….a  Flower Sale

Seriously, I thought this was about Cocktails!  Just let me say this…

I feel honored to be a part of this wonderful group of women.  You are the most gracious, caring, giving and humble women I have ever had the pleasure to know.

You are absolutely ready for anything.  To volunteer, hold a hand, lend a hand, or give support.  You are smart and resourceful.  If there is a need, you find a way.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as club Historian this past year.  You are truly a gift to our community and to each other.
